Master Data Management Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW
As an MDM Specialist, you will implement and uphold data governance practices, overseeing data integration processes, and ensuring high data quality. The MDM Specialist collaborates closely with IT and business stakeholders on projects to identify integration points and deliver solutions using MDM best practices. The specialist collaborates with IT and business units to align data management strategies with organizational goals, provides training and support on MDM tools, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities:MDM Support and Maintenance
- Develop a thorough understanding of the current MDM platform and it’s use cases.
- Manage the technical aspects of the MDM platform, including configuration and system lifecycle.
- Manage access permissions to data to protect sensitive information.
- Conduct monitoring of the MDM platform and troubleshoot integration and data issues as they relate to the MDM platform.
- Work with key project and IT stakeholders on architecture and design for new use cases and expansion of the MDM platform.
- Creation and implementation of master data management solutions including data integration, data modelling and data migration.
- Ensure the integrity, consistency, and the reliability of master data.
- Perform regular data audits to identify and rectify any compliance gaps.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to the MDM platform.
- This is a global role supporting project and IT stakeholders across different functions including but not limited to marketing, finance, operations, HR and IT
- The scope of the role may require work out of standard hours.
- Provide regular communication updates to IT team members where appropriate.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, trust, commitment, professional development, team co-operation and support.
- Ensure internal & external relationships and communication are managed effectively.
- Interface with vendors as required.
- Compliance to all relevant data protection, financial, taxation and legal requirements
- Compliance to all relevant education sector requirements

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or data management.
- Semarchy Developer Qualification (training will be provided).
- Data governance / quality training is desirable.
- Qualifications in MS SQL, ETL, Azure is desirable.
- 3 - 5 years of database development experience in commercial environment.
- Experience working with Master Data Management solutions is required.
- Experience in working with multiple initiatives and projects delivering end to end solutions that integrate with each other and enterprise systems.
- Experience working with databases.
- Experience of data quality and integrity of data.
- ETL Processes.
- SQL Server.
- Master Data Management platforms or solutions.
- Master Data Management concepts.
- Azure Cloud services
